Arnica
Montana, also known as Leopard’s Bane, is found
in the mountains of Europe. Arnica Montana Extract is produced
from the dried roots and flowers
of the plant. Arnica’s early use began with Europeans who chewed the flowers
to reduce pain and soreness due to the rigors of mountaineering. A German physician,
Dr. Feder, first introduced Arnica in the early 1700s as a panacea, hence it’s
early botanical name, Panacea Lapsorium.
